FAQ

Frequently askedquestions

Quick answers on ordering, specifications, timelines, and delivery — project terms are always confirmed in the quotation.

What information is needed for an oligonucleotide quotation?

Provide each sequence with a unique name, orientation, requested chemistry, purification, quantity or scale, and final format. Mark modified positions explicitly and explain the downstream application when it affects purification or handling.

How is an oligonucleotide purification option selected?

Purification is reviewed against sequence length, modifications, and downstream use. A routine primer, labelled probe, long sequence, and size-critical construct may need different approaches. The selected method and any analytical documentation should appear in the quotation rather than being assumed from a general rule.

Can a qPCR request include design support?

Yes, when design support is included in the written scope. Supply the target sequence, accession or coordinates, instrument, detection chemistry, controls, and intended amplicon. Reagent design does not by itself establish assay sensitivity, specificity, efficiency, or clinical performance.

When is the timeline for a gene or cloning project confirmed?

The timeline is estimated after sequence complexity, design work, vector status, cloning steps, verification method, and final format have been reviewed. It should be stated in the project quotation; the website does not publish a universal turnaround time.

How should physical samples be shipped?

Wait for project-specific acceptance and shipping instructions. The order confirmation should identify the sample format, packaging, temperature condition, address, manifest, and any restrictions. Do not infer a cold-chain requirement from a general website statement.

What are the sample requirements for sequencing?

Requirements depend on the sequencing route, sample type, library plan, and requested output. Provide a sample inventory and available quantity or quality measurements. Final acceptance criteria are issued for the specific project before submission.

How are project files and confidentiality handled?

Confidentiality, transfer method, access, retention, deletion, and any permitted reuse should be recorded in the quotation, agreement, or privacy terms for the project. Do not upload unrelated personal data or secrets with a quote request.

How are multi-step or non-standard projects scoped?

Begin with the research objective, available material, constraints, required output, and decision points. The proposal should divide the work into stages and state dependencies, milestones, acceptance criteria, change control, and stop conditions.

What happens after a quotation request is submitted?

The team reviews the request for missing technical and commercial information, and may ask for clarification before a firm scope, price, submission instructions, and timeline are provided.
