Operations

SampleHandling

Information to confirm before biological material or sequence files are submitted.

Submission approval

Do not dispatch material until sample type, quantity, concentration or quality information, packaging, destination, and project reference have been accepted for the project.

Labelling and manifest

Use stable sample identifiers and provide a manifest that links each container or file to the requested work. Avoid patient names or unnecessary personal information.

Storage and transport

Required conditions vary by material. The written submission instructions, not a general website statement, should define temperature, packaging, timing, and any restricted material.

Receipt exceptions

Leaking, unlabelled, damaged, mismatched, or otherwise unsuitable submissions may need clarification or replacement before work can proceed.
